About Us
Photo: Erica Winberg (Sweeping Kennel) and Gaela Tolley (Bohunt Kennel) out and about in Sweden together.
The Bohunt Kennel was established in the United Kingdom in 1991.
While today I only have 2 House Dogs and the other show dogs in loving family homes here is the history of the Kennel:
I bought my first Border Terrier from Betty Judge (Plushcourt). and at that time she informed me that I would eventually home all my Jacks and keep only Borders.
My First BT - Plushcourt Resilent (Imp UK) History has proven her correct and I have never regretted the change in direction. I have had the odd wildcard in our household. I have kept Bull Terriers over the years (one at a time!) and a desexed Pekinese, who was a loved family member. When we moved home to New Zealand I imported 4 Border Terriers. Three were from the Plushcourt Kennel and one from the Tutmur Kennel. I went on to later import other borders from Baywillow,

NZ CH Irton Madiera (Imp UK)
Brindleoak and Lyndhay Kennels.
Am Ch, Aust CH, NZ Ch Lyndhay Graduate (Imp UK) I also imported a daughter of Eng Ch Dandyhow Claudius in whelp to Eng Ch Dazzle Em Lyndhay. I have sent a number of terriers to homes all over the world ( 19 countries ).

I moved to Adelaide, in South Australia in 2004 and then to Melbourne late in 2007. More recently I have imported two dogs from New Zealand (Ch Lester Borda Goody Too Shoez & Ch Hollystone Tete-A-Tete at Tamaleigh) and from these two I rekindled lines I lost many years ago. These two dogs have been the cornerstone of what I have today.

I then imported a lovely young bitch from Judeen Foreman who was in the last litter that Judeen bred with her now deceased husband. Aust Ch Boomtown Strawberry Fields was Puppy In Show & Res CC at the BT Club of Vic Speciality in 2008. It was through encouragement from Peter that our Kennels joined forces. He would be proud of what we have done and have planned for the future.
Aust Ch Boomtown Strawberry Fields (Imp NZ) on her first birthday I also Imported two from Sweden in 2008 through Erica Winberg - Kennel Sweeping in Sweden. One was a son of the 2008 World Winner and the bitch was one of Erica's babies. While I homed the dog on to a forever home and he was desexed, the little girl Jonna did very well and was quickly titled here in Australia and had a BIG at 7 months of age.
Border Tracks Red Ram Hemi (Imp SWD)
Aust Ch Sweeping Across Ice (Imp SWD) The dog pup that had been pet homed had his shoes very well filled 12 months later by his famous sire, Int Ch, Swd Ch, Nwy Ch, Swd Tracking Ch, WW-08 Damdyke Gentil Hugel. Terje will end his days here in Australia being spoiled rotten. He has adjusted to home life, better than could have ever been forecast. He has also had great success in the ring from the moment he left Quarantine. He is a much loved member of his household and a lot of fun to live with.
Int CH, Swd CH, Nwy CH, Aust CH, Swd CH Tracking, WW-08 Damdyke Gentil Hugel (Imp SWD) As my friendship and trust grew with Erica (Kennel Sweeping) it was then decided to send two lovely Bohunt pups to Sweden. Bohunt Sweep The Board and Bohunt Clean Sweep left Australia in November 2009. Pimms and Pixi have settled into the cold climate very well and Pimms is looking very promising in the ring. Pixi is destined for the nursery.
Bohunt has owned or produced well in excess of 50 champions (world-wide) in Border Terriers.
